Happy 2nd Birthday MO Ho!

2 years ago today, sex workers and allies across the state of Missouri gathered on Zoom with a common goal: decriminalize sex work in Missouri. From St. Louis to Kansas city (and beyond), we dared to unapologetically celebrate and defend sex working Black, trans, queer, disabled, and neurodivergent women and people whilst COVID-19, the murders of George Floyd and Black trans people, and a reactionary political climate threatened lives and livelihoods in our communities. We refused to be criminalized and stigmatized into the shadows. Against all odds, MO Ho Justice was born.

The work continues today as we dream and build a better Missouri where sex working people can live full lives free from violence, coercion, and stigma. In celebration of our community, we continue to diversity our our toolkit beyond political advocacy and public education to community outreach, mutual aid, culture work, research, leadership development—and more to come!

We invite you to join our celebration by supporting our work:

1. It’s our birthday! Make it rain via Cashapp ($mohojustice) or via our fiscal sponsor (tax-deductible, donorbox.org/mohojustice).

2. Donate outreach supplies: MO Ho Justice was born into the COVID-19 pandemic, which disproportionately endangers BIPOC + sex working mothers and parents. In solidarity with the other “pandemic babies” of St. Louis + their caregivers, we’re collecting + distributing donations of diapers, baby wipes, formula, and Plan B. Text us at ‪(314) 669-4372‬ to schedule donation drop-off or pick up.

We are deeply grateful for 2 years of your support, and look forward to many more. This is only the beginning!
