Back to All Events Protest for Trans Rights Wednesday, March 29, 2023 2:00 PM 4:00 PM Missouri State Capitol 201 West Capitol Avenue Jefferson City, MO, 65101 United States (map) Google Calendar ICS More info From our allies at PROMO: “THIS FIGHT IS FAR FROM OVER — In response to the Senate’s passage of SB 49, today, we ask all LGBTQ+ Missourians and allies to come to the Missouri State Capitol on Wednesday, March 29 at 2 p.m. for the “Protest for Trans Rights.”A certified public accountant, a cattle rancher, and a family-farm operator decided they know better than every major medical association in the country when it comes to gender-affirming healthcare. Today, the Missouri Senate joined them with the passage of Senate Bills 49 and 39. This action demonstrates their motivations of using transgender bodies as political pawns and their false belief of having the expertise to ban lifesaving healthcare for children in the State of Missouri. We are grateful to the hundreds of transgender youth and adults, medical professionals, parents of transgender youth, and supporters of healthcare access who have shown up week after week this session. Your courage and bravery are the brightest light in this national fight against legislative and administrative attacks fueled by transphobia and funded by alt-right hate groups.” — facebook.com/PROMOmissouri
